Police to Focus on “Pinpoint Grids”
A police analysis of shootings from 2019 to 2023 identified 10 “pinpoint grids” where 30% of shootings occur in a small fraction of the area of the city. The department's crime-reduction strategy will focus on these grids, as well as in the 10 police districts where 78% of shootings occur.
