A New Name for the Merriam Theater
The Merriam Theater, purchased by the Kimmel Center in 2016, will be renamed the
Miller Theater, after local business leader Alan B. Miller and his family donated an undisclosed sum to renovate the 1,700-seat venue. The Kimmel had previously identified naming rights for the Merriam as worth between $20 million and $35 million for a deal lasting between 10 and 20 years.
