Where Supermarket Access Is Limited in Philadelphia

Philadelphia's Reinvestment Fund has analyzed areas where residents have limited access to supermarkets. The latest analysis, with data through 2016, shows that wide swaths of Philadelphia — home to 410,000 people — have inadequate and inequitable access to supermarkets. The analysis uses criteria such as income, distance to existing stores, and car ownership rates.
