Number of Children Falls as the Adult Population Grows

The number of children living in the Philadelphia's suburban counties has fallen steadily since 2010, even as the number of adults has grown. The decline in children was steepest in Philadelphia, and while many adults moved out of the city during the pandemic, the city's adult population still grew by more than 6% over the last 15 years.
