Toll of Shootings in West Philadelphia

More than 560 people were shot in areas of Philadelphia west of the Schuylkill last year. That is double the number of victims from three years earlier. In all, more than 2,200 people were shot in West Philadelphia since 2015. To date, only one in five of those incidents have resulted in an arrest.

The map below shows individual shootings and details on each incident from Jan. 1, 2015, to March 11, 2021. Arrests include cases that did not result in a conviction and pending cases yet to be completed at trial.
